about refusing to support Victoria’s Secret…I think it was because she was getting a lot of backlash and really rude anon comments, which I am sorry for. That’s pretty fucked up. But I still wanted to add my thoughts here just because..and I sincerely hope people will have the decency to stop being assholes on anon….

Because, well, I believe women should be women.
Not skeletons walking down a runway.
They aren’t even allowed to eat for so long before a show.
That’s stupid.
I mean, I’m not an “Omg, I love food!” kind of person…
But seriously.
Plus, I’ve been to a few stores, and the majority of them employed bitches.
Ok, first of all, VS doesn’t discriminate based on size or anything. So their models are skinny…so are most other lingerie and swimwear models. They’re also fit though. The models that don’t eat for X amount of hours before a show do so of their own accord, not because VS doesn’t allow them to. You probably wouldn’t go eat a cheeseburger a few hours before prancing down a runway in just your undies with millions of people watching either.
Second of all, skinny women are still women. Just like larger women are still women. Size doesn’t matter. You aren’t less of a women just because you’re thin in the same way that you aren’t less of one because you’re overweight.
Third, you went to a FEW stores and they had some bitchy employees. I guarantee you you will find bitchy employees everywhere. But that is not representative of an entire company.
Obviously, I like Victoria’s Secret, hence my defense of them. I also happen to work there, and I can honestly say that we aren’t all bitches. My coworkers are all pretty great people and we all treat our customers right. Not everyone does in other places, though, I am aware of that. But you seem to be judging a company pretty harshly for using skinny models (like the vast majority of companies in America do) and for encountering a FEW bitches employed at VS stores. If you don’t want to shop with VS, fine. That’s your choice. But at least think about what your reasons are and consider the other side as well. Generalizing and making assumptions doesn’t really make for a great argument.
